I am very honored to prepare an Azure Bicep session for the Azure Dominicana meetup group and would like to thank Gregory for extending his invitation.
As you know, the Azure Bicep language brings a new Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) approach to managing your Azure resources in a clean way. In addition, we also have a classic ARM JSON template that is traditionally used to define Azure infrastructure resources in a declarative way. However, it is not easy to author and maintains ARM JSON templates when your project grows in complexity.
That is when Azure Bicep comes into play, to simplify the management of your infrastructure while re-using code. So, please join my session and I will explain to you how to start using Azure Bicep and easily manage your cloud infrastructure.
Azure Dominicana user group
“This Meetup is for all those interested in knowing and learning more about Azure and trying to keep up with the latest trends and new features. Let’s talk together about interesting topics in our language and let’s all grow together in new knowledge and experiences!” – according to the Azure Dominicana meetup page.
Summary
If you are also excited about this session, please register here. I hope to hear from all of you in this session and address the questions that you may have.
Updates
Please, check the meetup homepage as I have been told that the session recording is going to be uploaded soon. Thanks!
Are you ready for the Microsoft Ignite 2022? This is an annual signature event for developer and IT professionals hosted by Microsoft. As usually, there would be many new Microsoft and Azure announcements in this upcoming conference.

I hope you will register and book your calendar for this fantastic event, and explore the latest innovations, learn from product experts and partners, level up your skillset, and create connections from around the world.
The Azure Back to School event is still in full swing and I am happy to announce my second session on this great event.
My session #2
This session is focused on new features and capabilities of Azure Bicep’s latest language. But don’t worry if you never used it before as I will have a brief introduction into what it is and where it could help you.
In this demo heavy session, I am planning to demonstrate how it is simple to create, manage a modularized Azure infrastructure-as-code, while using familiar tools.
We – the #cloudmarathoner community started this journey approximately three years ago with few posts and followers. The idea was to help everyone learn about the #cloudcomputing and #free training resources to help #upskill and launch your #cloud career.
Based on your feedback and support our community has grown to 920+ strong members and we are now empowered to reach more people than before.
Thus, I would like to say “HUGE THANK YOU!” to everyone who has followed or #shared the #CloudMarathoner posts and announcements.
Again, this is the beginning of something “GREAT” that we need to carry on by spreading the goodness and power of #knowledge that empowers people.
CONCLUSION
Thank you for stopping by and checking the announcement. Please, check our architecture and cloud infrastructure as code videos in the #CloudMarathone YouTube channel.
This week we are having an official start of the #AzureBacktoSchool event. This is a unique event geared toward upskilling the community with Azure skills during the September month.
On the first day of the event, we will have my session featured for everyone who is trying to become a Microsoft Azure Architect, and actively studying for the exams.
We have both of our sessions accepted for this great event. Where we will have the following sessions:
September 1 : Getting you ready for Microsoft Azure Architect (AZ-305) exam!
As you might know, there have been a number of changes in Microsoft Azure Architect exam from the beginning of 2022. And it might be troublesome to get ready for this exam with all the digital distractions around us.
However, in this lightning talk, I will be sharing bits and tips on how to focus on the AZ-305 Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions exam objectives and help you to prepare.
I will share both official and community learning resources that will boost your knowledge, and hopefully help you pass this important exam with confidence. In addition, I will also share tips and tricks on how to be laser focused and fit on the day of exam.
Azure Bicep session details
The next session on September 17th is all about “What is new in Azure Bicep language?”
The Azure Bicep language brings a new Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) approach to manage your Azure resources in a clean way. We also have a classic ARM JSON template that traditionally is used to define Azure infrastructure resources in a declarative way.
However, it is not easy to author and maintain ARM JSON templates when your project grows in complexity. But, good news is – the Azure Bicep is created to simplify management of your infrastructure while reusing code.
In the demo section of my session, I will introduce new features and capabilities of Azure Bicep. I will demonstrate how it is simple to create, manage a modularized Azure infrastructure-as-code, while using familiar tools.
Conclusion
Thank you for stopping by and checking the announcement. I will upload those session videos into the #CloudMarathone YouTube channel soon.
I had a great interaction with Kerry, Head of Marketing at DynamicsSmartz few weeks ago.
